Stay near Nottinghamshire, sleep in the countryside

Nottinghamshire is quieter than its neighbours and better for it. Between the city, the Trent valley and the old forest there is a band of rolling farmland, minster towns and conservation villages that most visitors drive straight past.

That is where Eden Pines sits. Eden Pines has six glamping pods for two, each with its own private hot tub on its own terrace, on a four-and-a-half-acre working smallholding at Oxton Hill near Southwell. From here the whole county is within easy reach: Southwell in minutes, Nottingham, Newark and Sherwood Forest each around 25 minutes away.

The park is adults only, so it suits couples looking for a quiet break rather than families with young children. The smallholding around the pods is worked the biodynamic way, with sheep, hens, beehives, herbs and vegetable beds, and guests are welcome to lend a hand or simply watch from the hot tub. The park opens in December 2026 and you can register interest now.
