Stay near Southwell Minster, sleep in the countryside

Southwell Minster is the cathedral of Nottinghamshire and one of the finest Norman churches in England. It was begun in 1108, its twin pyramid spires are unlike anything else in the country, and the carved stone leaves of its chapter house draw art historians from around the world. Entry is free, evensong is sung most days, and the Southwell Music Festival fills it every August.

Eden Pines has six glamping pods for two, each with its own private hot tub on its own terrace, on a four-and-a-half-acre working smallholding at Oxton Hill near Southwell. From the pods it is under ten minutes to the minster door, which makes Eden Pines the nearest countryside stay to it.

The park is adults only, so it suits couples looking for a quiet break rather than families with young children. Spend the afternoon in the minster and the Georgian streets around it, eat in town, then drive ten minutes back up the hill to the hot tub. The park opens in December 2026 and you can register interest now.
