Oxton is a small, quiet conservation village of red brick and pantiles, with a village green, a couple of good pubs and the Robin Hood Hills rising behind it. It sits between Nottingham and Southwell and manages to feel a long way from both.
Eden Pines has six glamping pods for two, each with its own private hot tub on its own terrace, on a four-and-a-half-acre working smallholding at Oxton Hill near Southwell. The park takes its name from the hill between Oxton and Southwell, so the village is the nearest place to the pods for a pint or a walk.
The park is adults only, so it suits couples looking for a quiet break rather than families with young children. From the terraces the view is open farmland and sky, with Southwell's minster a few minutes one way and the village the other. The park opens in December 2026 and you can register interest now.

The minster town is a few minutes further along Southwell Road, with restaurants, delis, the National Trust Workhouse and the racecourse.
Country walks
Footpaths from the village cross the dumbles, the small wooded valleys typical of this part of the county, and the farmland around the park.
Epperstone and Lowdham
Neighbouring villages a few minutes south, with village pubs, the Lowdham book festival and the nearest railway station.
Sherwood Forest
Around 25 minutes north on the A614 for the Major Oak, Sherwood Pines and Rufford Abbey.
