    The park on the hill

Oxton Hill is the high ground between the village of Oxton and the minster town of Southwell, in the middle of Nottinghamshire. It is open farmland, big skies and hedged lanes, with the Robin Hood Hills to the west and the Trent valley opening out to the east.

Eden Pines Park is on the hill. Eden Pines has six glamping pods for two, each with its own private hot tub on its own terrace, on a four-and-a-half-acre working smallholding at Oxton Hill near Southwell. The family who own it walked this field, decided it was too good to keep to themselves, and have been building the park by hand ever since.

The park is adults only, so it suits couples looking for a quiet break rather than families with young children. The land around the pods is worked the biodynamic way, with sheep, hens, beehives, herbs and growing beds, so the view from the hot tub changes with the seasons. The park opens in December 2026 and you can register interest now.
